We designed, manufactured and installed two different units, for Selfridges and Offspring, to promote the launch of the ‘Bringbacks’ retro range of Reebok trainers that related to the original pump shoes from the 1980s. Both units had to appear to be from the same design board, but one displayed the footwear vertically and the other horizontally. The Offspring display was a free-standing unit, while the Selfridge’s unit was required to use existing unitary in their stores.
The units were to remain in place for a minimum six-month period, so they had to be durable, but elements of the display also had to be easily refreshable for colour change outs. The units were successful, with excellent sell-through, particularly in the Offspring stores.
